A wedding celebration onboard the motor ship Saskatoon Princess as she cruises up the river through the City of Saskatoon will leave everyone with wonderful memories, yet be affordable enough to keep some money left over for a honeymoon, or some special things for your new home!

As many couples have found already, arranging your wedding on the Saskatoon Princess is also a great way to manage the size of your guest list! The Princess can only accommodate 30 guests (plus the minister or marriage commissioner and an assistant).

We understand from experience that weddings require special care, attention and time in order to avoid those "nightmare" scenarios. To make sure our guests have the very best wedding experience possible, we only allow marriages onboard the Saskatoon Princess, if they are pre-arranged through the purchase of a Wedding Package.

Shearwater River Cruise’s wedding package includes time to decorate the boat’s saloon* prior to your guests arrival, and up to two hours on the river (this allows time to return to the dock so the marriage commissioner can leave after the ceremony should he or she choose). The package includes a glass of bubbly (champagne-style sparkling wine) for your guests, a meal (chosen by you from our wedding service menu), and a framed certificate signed by the ship’s Captain that honours your special day.

  • Limousine delivery and pickup by the docks
  • Photographer and/or videographer (must be included in total passenger count)

* Maximum of 2 people allowed onboard to decorate, and only one rose-bowl or simliar on each table. (Sorry, space is at a premium, and we want your guests to be comfortable!)

** Based on 30 guests maximum. Price will be reduced by $12.00 per guest for a count of less than 30, or for children under 6. In no case may the number of wedding guests (including the bridal party) exceed 30. Minimum charge will be  $1540.00

 A 50% deposit is required to book the time and date (deposit includes a $300.00 non-refundable booking fee). Gratuities and refreshment charges (except for the bubbly!) are extra.  (GST will apply on all prices)
