Since 2010, Shearwater River Cruises has offered an exciting new fundraising opportunity for  charitable organizations. Why not organize a Fundraiser Cruise in May or September, and Shearwater will contribute 10% of the regular per-passenger costs to attend the event, to be applied to your fundraising efforts!!

Here is how it might work:

1. Book a date
2. Choose your event and meal options (Example: Roast Beef Dinner and Cruise – $47.95*)
3. Add, say, $10.00/plate (minimum) to the price you charge your patrons
4. Sell tickets to your fundraising event (using example above) at $57.95
5. On the basis of 30 passengers on this example cruise, Shearwater River Cruises will rebate $173.85 and your patrons contribute $300.00, for a total of $473.85 raised.
6. Of course, you can price your tickets as high as you want, and you could raise even more! And don’t forget the potential to approach other businesses or individuals to add in their donations as well, either directly or by picking up the cost of refreshments or part of the ticket costs!
